I am a second-year pulmonary and critical care fellow at the University of Michigan. I am fortunate to have Bob Dickson and Mike Sjoding as co-mentors. Together we are investigating the prevalence and burden of hyperoxia in our hospital’s intensive care units and the practice patterns surrounding this phenomenon. We are interested in evaluating clinically significant outcomes associated with hyperoxia and what role the lung microbiome plays in oxygen induced lung injury.
